Germany: Accused jihad massacre plotter claimed to be a Christian

when he entered the country

There are several possibilities. One is that Monir J. sincerely converted to Christianity, but amid some life crisis returned to Islam, and then had to do something to outweigh his sin of apostasy on Allah’s great scales of his good and bad deeds (Qur’an 21:47). A hadith has a Muslim asking Muhammad: “Instruct me as to such a deed as equals Jihad (in reward).” Muhammad replied, “I do not find such a deed.” (Bukhari 4.52.44)

The other possibility is that Monir J. falsely claimed to have converted to Christianity because he thought it would help his asylum case. Asylum seekers have shown that they know how to game the system: some have claimed to be Christian or gay and say that they would therefore face persecution back home if their asylum claim was denied. But as soon as their application is approved, they return to Islam and/or heterosexuality. Monir also might always have been a jihadi, and claimed to be a Christian to foster complacency among authorities. “The Prophet said, ‘War is deceit.’” (Bukhari 4.52.269)

Terror suspect stated in the asylum procedure that he was a Christian

Two Iranian brothers are said to have planned an Islamist-motivated attack with biological weapons in North Rhine-Westphalia. According to WELT information, authorities registered one of them as Christians. New evidence corroborates the suspicion of terrorism.

The suspect in the Islamist terror investigation in North Rhine-Westphalia, Monir J., is officially registered as a Christian with the German authorities. This is shown by documents available to WELT. The entry was made in early 2017 as part of an asylum procedure. The 32-year-old from Iran is said to be a convert, according to security sources. Photos J. posted to social media in 2017 show him wearing a cross pendant necklace.

Investigators are examining how this information fits the alleged Islamist attitude of the arrested person. The public prosecutor’s office in Düsseldorf accuses Monir J. and his 25-year-old brother of having planned an Islamist-motivated attack. Accordingly, they wanted to obtain toxins – cyanide and ricin – “in order to kill an indefinite number of people with them.” On Sunday, the district court in Dortmund issued arrest warrants.

In 2015, Monir J. entered Germany and applied for asylum. He was finally granted protected status in September 2017. This residence permit is valid until the end of July 2023. The initiation of a revocation and withdrawal procedure was rejected in 2021.

Meanwhile, the suspicion of terrorism against the Iranian brothers has been substantiated. They are said to have dealt specifically with the construction of bombs and the corresponding instructions. WELT learned from security circles that there were new indications after evaluating the evidence that had been seized.

Sympathy with the Islamic State

Investigators suspect that Monir J. is a follower of a Sunni Islamist ideology. He is said to have been active in appropriate forums on the Internet. State security officials are checking whether there are also concrete connections to terrorist militias such as the so-called Islamic State (IS). In Iran, Shiite Islam is the state religion. Sunni Muslims and Christians are in the minority.

At the weekend, special police forces searched Monir J.’s apartment in Castrop-Rauxel. Due to indications of possible toxins for attack planning, the area was cordoned off over a large area. However, no such substances were found in the living quarters. On Monday, there will be further searches in garages in North Rhine-Westphalia to which the brothers had access.

According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the highly toxic ricin is included in the war weapons list under “biological weapons.” Cyanide is also highly toxic, even the smallest amounts are fatal to humans.

Monir J.’s brother, who was also arrested, was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Dortmund Regional Court in January 2019 for attempted murder. However, the man was allowed to stay overnight with Monir J. at the weekend. The brother is said to have thrown a large branch from a bridge onto the A45. Because of his addiction, the asylum seeker was transferred to an addiction clinic in Hagen for therapy after initially serving time in prison.

How Fulani Jihadists Aided By Nigerian Military Slaughtered

410 Southeastern Nigerians, Kidnapped Over 600 In 2022,

Intersociety Group Alleges

Sahara Reporters,
January 9, 2023:

The International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety) has accused Fulani herdsmen and other jihadists of killing no fewer than 410 open and captivity killings and 600 abductions in Southeast Nigeria in 2022.

The group disclosed this in its annual report sent to SaharaReporters.

The report was signed by its Board Chairman, Emeka Umeagbalasi; Head, Civil Liberties and Rule of Law, Obianuju Joy Igboeli Esq., and Head, Campaign and Publicity Department, Chidinma Udegbunam.

According to the group, the suspected herdsmen were aided by the military to kill and abduct residents of the region.

This comes a few days after the Indigenous People of Biafra raised the alarm over the alleged influx of terrorists masquerading as herdsmen into Enugu State, particularly the Nenwe community.

IPOB also alleged that the 82 Division of Nigerian Army Enugu is behind the recent influx of killer herdsmen into the state, urging the people of the state and Igbo people to be on alert.

In 2022, the then Commander of Rapid Response Squad, Abia State Police Command, CSP Johnbull revealed that Fulani herdsmen were responsible for kidnapping in Isuochi in Umenneochi Local Government Area of the state. He also accused the Nigerian Army of being complicit.

He said after collecting ransom, the assailants went to Garrik cattle market to spend the money.

“Yesterday night, I sent my men to the Garrik cattle market. They (referring to kidnappers) go there to spend money after kidnapping our people, they will collect ransom they will go and spend it there (cattle market) The army is not helping us,” he had said.

The infamous ‘Nimbo massacre’ in which about 20 persons were killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Ukpabi Nimbo, an agrarian community in the Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, in April 2016, was the first high profile attack linked to the cattle rearers in the South-East.

Since then, several indigenes of the zone have been killed in numerous attacks by suspected armed herdsmen.

The victims include women who were raped to death on their farms, and clergymen, particularly Catholic priests, who were kidnapped and killed.

In the report obtained by SaharaReporters, the group said investigations carried out by its personnel and several publications revealed that Enugu State was the worst hit with no fewer than 160 deaths out of the 260 open killings recorded.

The report read, “The Jihadist Fulani herdsmen and other jihadists militarily aided to invade and occupy forests, bushes, farmlands and strategic roads and their bypasses in the East since 2016, have been responsible for not less than 410 open and captivity killings and 600 abductions since the beginning of January 2022.

“From several investigations carried out by Intersociety and severally published, 260 of the slain Eastern Christians and non-Muslim others met their death in open unprovoked and unwarranted attacks by the jihadists using automatic rifles, machetes and other weapons of death while the remaining 150 deaths occurred in jihadist captivity involving those abducted and held captive, later killed and dumped to decompose at bush or forest paths.

“Enugu State is the worst hit with no fewer than 160 deaths out of the 260 open killings. The Eha-Amufu in Isiuzo LGA of the State is the worst-hit community with 90-100 deaths. As much as 70 defenseless lives have been lost in Eha-Amufu communities of Ebor, Umujiovu, Mgbuji and Agu-Amede in Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen attacks that occurred in less than one month on 21-23 Nov 2022, 8-10 Dec 2022 and 18th Dec 2022….

This is, of course, genocide. Nigeria is predominantly Muslim but a strong Christian presence has been the target of several jihadi groups with much cooperation from the government and military. Until today, most of the reports of massacres were contained to the northeast of Nigeria where there was the strongest Christian presence. In the past year or two, they spread across the north and now, apparently, into the southeast.

I would advise Christians to get out of Nigeria as it will soon come under God's judgment.

KABUL, Afghanistan — The Islamic State group claimed responsibility Thursday for a deadly bombing that killed at least five people near the Foreign Ministry in the Afghan capital the previous day.

The bombing was the second major attack in Kabul in 2023 and drew condemnation from the international community.

The extremist group said in a statement that a “martyrdom-seeker” it identified as Kheiber al-Qandahari detonated his explosive vest amidst a gathering of ministry employees and guards as they left through the ministry’s main gate.

There was no immediate response from Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers about the IS claim. Kabul police chief spokesman Khalid Zadran said Wednesday that the explosion killed five civilians and that “a number of others were wounded” near the ministry.

The IS news outlet Aamaq said the attack coincided with a ministry training course for diplomats.

The extremists have increased their assaults since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan in 2021. Targets have included Taliban patrols and members of the country’s Shiite minority.

After Wednesday’s attack, more than 40 wounded people were brought to a surgical center in Kabul run by Emergency NGO, a humanitarian organization. Stefano Sozza, Emergency’s director in Afghanistan, said at the time that he expected the number of casualties to rise.

The attack drew condemnation from the United Nations and various countries. In a statement Wednesday, Pakistan said it stood in solidarity with Afghans in the fight against militants.

With the billions of dollars worth of military equipment we left for the Taliban, you would think they should be able to neutralize IS.
