Sudan’s military rulers step up crackdown, arrest activists

By SAMY MAGDY

(Marwan Ali/AP)

CAIRO (AP) — Amira Osman, a Sudanese women’s rights activist, was getting ready for bed a few minutes before midnight when about 30 policemen forced their way into her home in Khartoum last month.

The men, many in plainclothes and armed with Kalashnikov rifles, pistols and batons, banged on her bathroom door, ignoring her mother’s pleas to at least allow her to get dressed before they took her away.

“It was like they were engaging in a battle or chasing a dangerous terrorist, not a disabled woman,” said Osman’s sister, Amani, a rights lawyer.

Osman, who uses crutches since a 2017 accident, was imprisoned twice under Sudan’s former autocratic President Omar al-Bashir for violating strict Islamic laws governing women’s behavior and dress. This time, she was detained for speaking out against military rule.

With her Jan. 22 arrest, Osman joined hundreds of activists and protest leaders targeted since a military coup last October removed a transitional government from power.

The detentions have intensified in recent weeks as Sudan plunged into further turmoil with near-daily street protests, sparking fears of an all-out return to the oppressive tactics of al-Bashir. The coup upended Sudan’s transition to democratic rule after three decades of international isolation under al-Bashir, who was removed from power in 2019 after a popular uprising.

Palestinians develop new methods to hide pay-for-slay payments

and deceive international community

FEB 11, 2022 12:00 PM
BY CHRISTINE DOUGLASS-WILLIAMS

An obvious question is widely ignored: what government would be tolerated if it were paying money to its citizens to murder Muslims? Such a thought is jarring, yet the Palestinian Authority, which is supported the world over, has been paying and continues to pay its citizens for murdering Jews in Israel. It’s the infamous “pay-for-slay” program, which means that money donated by Westerners to the Palestinians is used for the murderous jihad against Israel. The Palestinian Authority is frequently criticized for the program, although the critics have not ended their support. Nonetheless, the Palestinian Authority has now found a new way to try to hide the program’s continuance. This is nothing new. Taqiyya is a strategy of dissimulation to propagate Islamic jihad (both stealth and violent) against infidels.

The new strategy involves:

Integrating released terrorists into PA ministries to deceive the international community
Developing a new payment system to circumvent the banks that refuse to provide services to terrorists
Manipulating published PA financial reports to mask the payments

The Palestinians have built 100 extravagant embassies globally, as they fund their jihad terror prisoners — deemed to be “heroes” and “martyrs” — while begging the world for cash. And the international community will continue to be either willfully blind or duped, and endow them with astronomical amounts so that they can continue murdering Jews.

“Three ways the PA tried to hide its terror reward payments in 2021,”

by Maurice Hirsch, Palestinian Media Watch,
February 9, 2022:

Integrating released terrorists into PA ministries to deceive the international community
Developing a new payment system to circumvent the banks who refuse to provide services to terrorists
Manipulating published PA financial reports to mask the payments

Palestinian Media Watch estimates that in 2021 the PA spent no less than 841 million shekels ($270.75 million) paying rewards to terrorists. 600 million shekels ($193.16 million) were paid to terrorist prisoners and released terrorists and another 241 million shekels ($77.59 million), at least, were paid to wounded terrorists and the families of dead terrorists.

In 2021, despite the international pressure and despite its alleged financial difficulties, the Palestinian Authority continued to implement its “Pay-for-Slay” policy, showing particular cunning in its efforts to hide these terror reward payments. According to the head of the PA-funded PLO Commission for Prisoners’ Affairs, in 2021 the PA paid between 48 and 50 million shekels, every month, to terrorist prisoners and release terrorists. The payments were additional to the PA payments to the wounded terrorists and the families of the dead terrorists (so-called “Martyrs”), which PMW has estimated to be over 20 million shekels a month.

The PA’s efforts to hide the terror reward payments took three main forms: Reorganizing the PA payments to the released terrorists; establishing a new payment system through which to pay the terrorists; and distorting its openly published financial records, to hide the terror rewards.

Reorganizing the PA payments to the released terrorists

The 2004 PA Law of Prisoners and Released Prisoners and the regulations adopted to implement the law, guarantee both terrorist prisoners and released terrorists a monthly salary from the PA. After the PA identified that the payment of salaries to the released terrorists was particularly condemned by the donor countries, instead of abolishing the payments, the PA decided to integrate the released terrorists into the PA ministries, thereby, pretending the payments were legitimate salary expenses.

As part of this program, the PA disbursed the salary payments to 7,500 released terrorists, integrating thousands of terrorists into the PA ministries and retiring thousands of others. Hundreds of released terrorists were even placed in positions in the PA security apparatus. Exposing that these were neither real jobs nor legitimate salaries for employment, PMW showed that the salary scales were not based on the terrorists’ new positions, but rather on artificial pay scales linked to the time the terrorist spent in prison. The terrorists “retired” by the PA were guaranteed 100% of their “pension salary.”

Establishing a new payment system through which to pay the terrorists

In March 2020, PMW warned the banks operating in the PA controlled areas that the Israeli anti-terror law outlaws the PA payments to terrorists and that if the banks continue to provide services to the PA and the terrorists they could potentially bare both criminal and civil responsibility. As a direct result of PMW’s letter, the banks closed the accounts of 35,000 terrorists causing turmoil and disrupting the payments.

In 2021, the PA needed to invest both time and money trying to find a way to pay its terror rewards without using the domestic banking system. At first, the PA decided to make the payments through the PA post offices, but had to rethink the idea when the terrorists and their families complained that the process of waiting on line for cash payments made them feel like “beggars.” To improve the terror reward payment mechanism, the PA decided to issue the terrorists and their families special ATM cards to be used at designated machines.

Distorting its openly published financial records to hide the terror rewards

Despite the fact that the terror reward payments are clearly a major PA expense (estimated to total over 841 million shekels / $270 million), in 2021, similar to 2020, the PA continued to ensure that there was no clear reference to them in the PA’s monthly budget performance reports.

While PMW demonstrated that the PA terror reward payments were paid in 2020, predominantly, through the budgetary provision of transfers to the “PLO institutions”, the picture in 2021 is more complicated. Even though the PA continued in 2021 to transfer hundreds of millions of shekels to the “PLO Institutions,” because the PA integrated many of the released terrorists into fictitious PA positions these sums do not cover all the PA terror rewards to the released terrorists. Rather, a large sum of the terror rewards are now incorporated into the regular salaries and wages expenses of the PA ministries into which the terrorists were placed and in the PA pension payments, and therefore are now hidden from PMW and our reports to the Israeli authorities and donor countries.

Similar to previous years, the 2021 PA payments to the wounded terrorists and families of the dead terrorists continued to be hidden in the PA’s Ministry of Social Affairs expenditure category.

Unequivocal support for terrorists

The exceptional efforts undertaken by the PA to hide its terror reward payments are reflective of two realities. The PA constantly repeats the commitment of Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, that even if the PA is left with only one penny, it will be paid to the terrorists. This commitment is not an empty slogan, but rather conveys a fundamental truth about the PA priorities….

Muslim extremists beat Christian apologist unconscious in Uganda

Islamic extremists beat a Christian apologist and evangelist unconscious as he was traveling to participate in a debate about Christianity and Islam in Kampala, Uganda, according to a report.

Two men stopped the car of 43-year-old apologist Charles Kamya when he was about 300 meters from the open-air debate site in the Bwaise area of Kampala and then a mob attacked him, Morning Star News reported.

“I stopped my car only to be ambushed by six other Muslims in Islamic attire who resurfaced from the bush at around midday,” Kamya was quoted as saying from his hospital bed.

One of the assailants told him, “You have been terrorizing our religion. Today Allah has called you, and you are going to meet him. Some beat me badly while others cut me with some objects, and I lost a lot of blood as they pulled me out of my car and threw me out,” he said.

Terrorizing? Preaching the Gospel is terrorism. No wonder Muslims are confused. Their violent attempt to prevent the debate from happening is a clear admission that the Quran cannot stand up against the Bible. Truth wins out in the end.

In the Jan. 29 attack, he was hit on his head with an iron bar, leaving him unconscious for about two hours. A passerby found him in a pool of blood and called the police.

Kamya’s father fears his son will be attacked again and has asked the hospital to release him against the doctors’ advice.

Days before the attack, Kamya had gone to a mosque in the Jinja area to buy a Quran, accompanied by a Muslim convert to Christianity. He then debated Muslims in that mosque.

“I used the Quran to show Muslims that from the beginning of the Earth to date, God wants all people to be saved, including Muslims,” Kamya said. “I also discussed Surah 72 about the powers of evil jinn, and that they can be defeated by Issa [Jesus], and many Muslims converted to Christ. One sheik wanted to grab the Quran from me, but I refused and left immediately.”

Another debate was scheduled for Jan. 29, organized by Bwaise area churches. “It was well publicized, with my photo displayed as the main debater of the day in Christian-Muslim dialogue,” Kamya said.

While most people in Uganda are Christian, some Eastern and Central regions have higher concentrations of Muslims.

According to the Pew-Templeton Global Religious Futures Project, about 11.5% of Uganda’s population is Muslim, mostly Sunni. Armed attacks and murders of converts are not uncommon in the region.

“Radical Islam’s influence has grown steadily, and many Christians within the majority-Muslim border regions are facing severe persecution, especially those who convert from Islam,” a Voice of the Martyrs factsheet notes.

“Despite the risks, evangelical churches in Uganda have responded by reaching out to their neighbors; many churches are training leaders how to share the Gospel with Muslims and care for those who are persecuted after they become Christians.”

And God bless you for your courage and faith!

Bangladesh: Muslims in van target Hindus

who planned to build temple, murder six brothers

FEB 12, 2022 11:00 AM
BY ROBERT SPENCER

“They attacked us because we wanted to build a temple.”

Imagine the outcry that would ensue if the roles were reversed. But the international media will largely ignore this, as it doesn’t fit their preferred narrative.

“‘It was premeditated; pickup van targeted 6 brothers,’”

by Sanjoy Kumar Barua,
Daily Star, February 12, 2022

“My six brothers and one sister were about two arms’ length away from the road on the day of the accident. My other brother and I were on the street. Instead of hitting us, the pickup van targeted and crushed my brothers. The vehicle then came back and crushed my injured sister after killing my brothers,” said Munni Sushil, who survived the road accident in Chakaria upazila on February 8, last night.

It wasn't an accident, it was an act of terror!

Five of her brothers were killed by the pickup van that morning. Two other brothers and a sister were also injured in the accident. Among them, Raktim Sushil is now fighting for life at Chittagong General Hospital.

“It’s a premeditated murder,” Munni said. “If not, why did the vehicle crushed my brothers who were away from the road instead of killing the two of us who were standing on the road?”

Asked why the killings appear to be planned, Munni said, “On January 29, 40-50 miscreants attacked our house. They threatened to kill my father. The next day, January 30, my father died of a heart attack.”

Asked who attacked and why, Munni said, “For the last 10 years, my father had been arranging Durga Puja here with the family.”

Her brother Deepak Sushil, who was living abroad, brought about 4,000 bricks and gravel to build a small temple in Hasinapara area in the second week of January, Munni said.

“Since then, my father had been receiving threats,” she added….

Mrinalini said that she hid two of her children under the bed in fear during the attack on January 19. “They attacked us because we wanted to build a temple,” she said….

France: Muslim migrant who stabbed two was ordered deported

in 2015, gets prison and new deportation order

FEB 12, 2022 3:00 PM
BY ROBERT SPENCER

Why wasn’t he deported in 2015? Would doing so have been “Islamophobic”? Even worse, the official or officials responsible for not executing the 2015 order will face no consequences.

“France: Moroccan knifeman, already subject to deportation order since 2015,

sentenced to two years in prison and another deportation order,”

by John Cody,
Remix News,
February 9, 2022:

A Moroccan national has been sentenced to two years in prison and received an obligation to leave French territory for ten years after being found guilty of a violent stabbing attack on a man and his brother, despite already being ordered to leave France back in 2015.

Yahya Glaa, a Moroccan immigrant in his twenties was sentenced on Monday, along with two accomplices, for the attack in March 2021 during which one victim was heavily beaten and left with several stab wounds. The incident occurred at the foot of an affordable housing block in Castelsarrasin, Tarn-et-Garonne, in southwestern France.

The victim fortunately received swift first aid from two nurses helping to save his life.

Following his arrest, it transpired that Glaa had been subject to an OQTF, an obligation to leave French territory imposed on him in 2015 for acts of violence with a weapon. It is unclear why authorities did not ensure this order had been complied with, nor does it suggest with any certainty that the new OQTF imposed on the assailant for the attack last year will be adhered to after completion of his prison sentence….

So, without 'swift first aid', the victim would probably have died. How then was the perpetrator sentenced to a mere 2 years? And he with a history of violence and ignoring the law? Is this called justice in France? No wonder French Jews are evacuating the country.

Germany: Muslim migrant known to police tries to rape woman

in broad daylight

FEB 12, 2022 4:00 PM
BY ROBERT SPENCER

Why does this keep happening? In France, a Muslim quoted Qur’an while raping his victim. A survivor of a Muslim rape gang in the UK has said that her rapists would quote the Qur’an to her, and believed their actions justified by Islam. Thus it came as no surprise when Muslim migrants in France raped a girl and videoed the rape while praising Allah and invoking the Qur’an. In India, a Muslim gave a Qur’an and a prayer rug to the woman he was holding captive and repeatedly raping. And the victim of an Islamic State jihadi rapist recalled: “He told me that according to Islam he is allowed to rape an unbeliever. He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to God…He said that raping me is his prayer to God.” In India, a Muslim kidnapped and raped a 14-year-old Hindu girl, and forced her to read the Qur’an and Islamic prayers. In Pakistan, another Christian woman recounted that her rapist was also religious: “He threw me on the bed and started to rape me. He demanded I marry him and convert to Islam. I refused. I am not willing to deny Jesus and he said that if I would not agree he would kill me.” Rapists demanded that another girl’s family turn her over to them, claiming that she had recited the Islamic profession of faith during the rape and thus could not live among infidels.

The Qur’an teaches that Infidel women can be lawfully taken for sexual use (cf. its allowance for a man to take “captives of the right hand,” 4:3, 4:24, 23:1-6, 33:50, 70:30). The Qur’an says: “O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.” (33:59) The implication there is that if women do not cover themselves adequately with their outer garments, they may be abused, and that such abuse would be justified.

However, anyone who points all this out will be excoriated as a “racist” and an “Islamophobe,” and accordingly ignored.

“Man saves walker (37) from rape,”

Translated from “Mann rettet Spaziergängerin (37) vor Vergewaltigung,” B.Z.,
February 10, 2022 (thanks to Medforth):

Late Wednesday afternoon in Wriezen (Märkisch-Oderland), a woman who was walking her dog was attacked and almost raped.

Around 5 p.m. she was walking in Bahnhofsstrasse when a man approached her from behind and yanked her to the ground. The attacker threw himself on her and covered her mouth to stop the woman from screaming.

But a courageous witness intervened! He managed to pull the perpetrator from the woman and hold him until the police arrived.

As it turned out, the 27-year-old Pakistani citizen was already known to the police and had a blood alcohol content of 1.95.

Since he suddenly attacked the police as well, he had to be tied up. That didn’t stop him from further sexually insulting a police officer, the East Police Department said on Thursday.

Because the perpetrator was previously traveling with a stolen bicycle, he is now being investigated for attempted rape and sexual insults and suspected theft.
