DUBAI (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said a speech by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Saturday vowing to defy American policies in the region despite a deal with world powers over Tehran's nuclear program was "very disturbing".

"I don't know how to interpret it at this point in time, except to take it at face value, that that's his policy," he said in the interview with Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television, parts of which the network quoted on Tuesday.

"But I do know that often comments are made publicly and things can evolve that are different. If it is the policy, it's very disturbing, it's very troubling," he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei told supporters on Saturday that U.S. policies in the region were "180 degrees" opposed to Iran's, at a speech in a Tehran mosque punctuated by chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel".

"Even after this deal our policy toward the arrogant U.S. will not change," Khamenei said.

Several Gulf Arab states have long accused Tehran of interference, alleging financial or armed support for political movements in countries including Bahrain, Yemen and Lebanon. You can add Gaza to that list.

Kerry said the U.S. believed its Arab allies had the ability to confront Iranian interference in the region.

"I think President Obama's belief and our military assessments, our intelligence assessments, are that if they organize themselves correctly, all of the Arab states have an untapped potential that is very, very significant to be able to push back against any of these activities," he said.

Pretty big 'if' statement on its own, but when you work in the rapid reduction of sanctions resulting in hundreds of billions of dollars flowing into Iran, Israel and the Arab states problem has just gotten a whole lot worse. This is yet another, and possibly the most disturbing case of America funding both sides of a war. America and Europe have absolutely no business supporting a terrorist, apocalyptic regime like Tehran. This will end very badly.

US and Europe Will Help Iran Secure Nuclear Facilities from Israeli Attack

For how many years have I been saying that the west will abandon Israel in its time of greatest need? 

The agreement reached with Iran by the P5+1 group includes clauses whereby the P5+1 will help Iran to increase the security of its nuclear facilities against attack. Since the only country that has ever talked about attacking Iran's nuclear capability is Israel, that promise is aimed directly at Jerusalem. Since that is exactly where Iranian nuclear bombs will be aimed, the US and Europe have just taken a big step in abandoning their (former????) ally.

U.S. Will Teach Iran to Thwart Nuke Threats

Iran: ‘All our goals materialized’ under deal

The United States and other world powers will help to teach Iran how to thwart and detect threats to its nuclear program, according to the parameters of a deal reached Tuesday to rein in Iran’s contested nuclear program.

Under the terms of a deal that provides Iran billions of dollars in sanctions relief, Iran and global powers will cooperate to help teach Iran how to manage its nuclear infrastructure, which will largely remain in tact under the deal.

Senior Iranian officials, including the country’s president, celebrated the deal as a victory for the country. Iran’s state controlled media quoted President Hassan Rouhani as saying that the deal will “remove all sanctions while maintaining [Tehran’s] nuclear program and nuclear progress.”

In what is being viewed as a new development, European countries and potentially the United States agreed to “cooperate with Iran on the implementation of nuclear security guidelines and best practices,” according to a copy of the agreement furnished by both the Russians and Iranians.

This will include “training courses and workshops to strengthen Iran’s ability to prevent, protect and respond to nuclear security threats to nuclear facilities and systems as well as to enable effective and sustainable nuclear security and physical protection systems,” according to the text.

Additional “training and workshops” would work to “strengthen Iran’s ability to protect against, and respond to nuclear security threats, including sabotage, as well as to enable effective and sustainable nuclear security and physical protection systems,” the text states.


The language was viewed as disturbing by analysts and experts who said such cooperation could help protect Iran against efforts by the Israelis or other countries to sabotage the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program in the future.

“The United States and its partners have just become the international protectors of the Iranian nuclear program. Instead of rolling back the Iranian nuclear program, we’re now legally obligated to help the Iranians build it up and protect it,” said one Western source present in Vienna and who is apprised of the details of the deal.

In addition to teaching Iran how to protect its nuclear infrastructure, world powers pledge in the agreement to help Iran construct next-generation centrifuges—the machines that enrich uranium—at its once-secret nuclear site in Fordow, where Iran has been suspected of housing a weapons program.

Fordow is an underground and fortified military site that is largely immune from air strikes by those seeking to eradicate Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

While Iran will not be permitted to enrich nuclear material with these centrifuges, the know-how gained from operating these advanced centrifuges could help it advance clandestine nuclear weapons work, experts say.

The Obama administration had once vowed that Iran would have to fully dismantle its centrifuge program. However, this demand was walked back as the Iranians demanded greater concessions over the past months.

“Now the international community will be actively sponsoring the development of Iranian nuclear technology,” Omri Ceren, an analyst from the Israel Project (TIP), wrote in an email to reporters. “And since the work will be overseen by a great power, it will be off-limits to the kind of sabotage that has kept the Iranian nuclear program in check until now.”

Meanwhile, Iranian President Rouhani celebrated the deal in a speech that detailed how the country received everything it was looking for from the United States.

This includes the full rollback on sanctions on Iran’s financial, energy, and banking sectors, as well as others, and the suspension of international resolutions banning the sale of arms to Tehran.

Iran will also move forward with work on its advanced centrifuges and also “continue its nuclear research and development,” according to Rouhani’s comments. “All our goals materialized under the deal,” Rouhani said, according to Fars.

Iran’s nuclear reactors in Arak—which could provide with a second pathway to a nuclear weapon—also will continue to operate under the deal. It will continue in conjunction with the nuclear enrichment plants located in Fordow and Natanz.

Rouhani went on to say that Iran “will scrutinize implementation of the agreement” to ensure that the United States and other world powers uphold their end of the bargain.

North Korea Defector Realized Her Country is a Lie

“It is ridiculous, the hairstyle he has, everything,” says Hyeonseo Lee.

She is talking about Kim Jong-un, the supreme leader of North Korea and in her old life, before her defection from the tightly controlled regime, saying such a thing would condemn her and her family to prison or to death.

“I could kill three generations of my family,” she says.

Lee defected at 17, embarking on a perilous journey. Now 34, she has finally written her account of life and escape from the Hermit Kingdom in a new book, The Girl With Seven Names.

The woman was raised in a relatively privileged manner, a middle-class existence because of her stepfather’s job with the North Korean military, but even so she attended her first public execution at the age of seven — a stark lesson in obedience.

Seeing a man hanged under a railway bridge — one of many such public executions that are mandatory for people to see, she says — was only one of the grotesque means of control the regime waged against its citizens.

As in many authoritarian countries, for example, Lee’s family displayed portraits of the ruling family in their home, first Great Leader Kim Il-sung, then his son and heir Dear Leader Kim Jong-il and, later, his son and heir Kim Jong-un. The government gave them a special cloth for cleaning the portraits and nothing else. The pictures had to be the most prominent in any room, hung the highest, perfectly aligned and on a wall containing no other adornment.

Once a month, Lee says, officials wearing white gloves would visit every house in her neighbourhood to inspect the portraits. If one was dusty or improperly hung, the family would be punished. It was with the portraits, one under each arm, that her stepfather emerged — blackened and coughing — after running back into their burning house, risking his life for their preservation.

“It was genuine (respect) and fear mixed together,” says Lee.

“They had to show they were loyal to the regime in order to survive.”

But people also knew no other life, had no access to information beyond what they were told by the state and dissent was absent from any discourse.

Things changed when famine struck in the 1990s after the collapse of the Soviet Union. At first, Lee was shielded from its effects, both because military ties allowed her family access to food and because of the propaganda of the regime, she says.

The government initiated a wide public education campaign — “Let us eat two meals a day” was the slogan, accompanied by information on how eating less was healthier.

As food distribution worsened and after the death of her stepfather, who had been arrested by military police on suspicions about his business deals and apparently killed himself while in hospital, the intense impact of famine became obvious.

“I saw people dying on the street. I was shocked. If we went near the train station or under the bridge we can easily see those dead bodies everywhere and the smells of decomposing bodies,” she says.

It troubled Lee not just emotionally, but intellectually.

All her education and the propaganda told her North Korea was the greatest country on Earth, its leader could change the weather and her homeland was a beacon of light in a world immersed in darkness.

“I believed we were the most privileged human beings — but they are dying from starvation on the street? It didn’t make sense to me at all,” she says.

When her family moved to the northern city of Hyesan, just across the Yalu river from China, the lies became irreconcilable. Stray signals from China could be captured on her television set and, in a locked room with blankets covering the windows, she would watch and see a different world.

Then there were the lights, twinkling across the river in the Chinese town of Changbai.

“We were suffering severe power shortages every night, but China has brilliant lights at night and even neon signs. I wanted to find out the answer myself by seeing the real life in China with my own eyes and I was very young, naive girl at the time so I was brave. I took the huge risk by crossing the border.”

She did not intend to defect.

The frozen river was narrow near her home and could be crossed with ease. She intended a “sneak visit,” she says, to see China, visit her father’s relatives there and return.

But in China she saw her upbringing had been a lie. For the first time, she heard people speaking openly about the North Korean regime. She heard Kim Jong-un called a “bastard” and the country’s starvation blamed on his failed economic policy.

“It was shocking to me; how can you make fun of our Dear Leader like that?” she says. And at first it was hard to accept, she still wanted to respect her country — a common thing, she learned, for those who have just fled North Korea.

She says now she knows how naive she was, about that as well as how hard her journey would be. Walking across the river was perhaps the easiest part.

In China she lived illegally, moving from place to place, taking on waitressing jobs, dating a policeman for her protection. She changed her identity several times. (She chose the name Hyeonseo Lee when she reached freedom. “Hyeon” means sunshine, she explains, “seo” means good fortune.)

Even when finally living in South Korea, settling in its capital, Seoul, she was tortured by constant thoughts of her mother and brother still in the north.

“(They) suffered a long time in North Korea because of me,” she says. They weren’t sent to prison but struggled under censorship and restrictions, with spies sending reports on her mom’s schedule to officials every day.

“One thing I could never handle was being separated from my family,” she says. “It was very sad; living in South Korea — so close but very far away.

“The farthest place.”

She decided she must try to free her mother and brother. Their escape, however, was not as simple as a walk across a frozen river. Lee was held by a smuggling gang and forced to pay large fees as she tried to arrange their passage.

When her family finally made it across the border into China, they narrowly escaped arrest and deportation. Leaving China, they were arrested in Laos and could not pay the bribe demanded for their release until an Australian man hearing their ordeal went to a bank machine and paid it for her.

They are almost the forgotten people

After that Lee and her family, like many defectors, were silent for a long time, fearing for others still in North Korea.

But in 2013, she decided to share some of her story in a TED Talk — a rare public account of life in the secretive country told directly in English. It caused a sensation.

There have been other accounts, usually mediated by translators. One of the most prominent defectors, Shin Dong-hyuk, told an eye-popping story of being born to two inmates in a notorious prison camp, where he lived, worked as a slave and was tortured until his daring escape.

It was an account he revised this year, however, with an admission he had exaggerated and fabricated parts of his story.

That hurts all defectors, says Lee.

“The original story is good enough without embellishment,” she says. “Western media want to hear very shocking stories … (and) some defectors are exaggerating or making up stories or taking other people’s stories as their own.”

But that should not detract from the real stories of defectors and, more importantly, of those still living in the Hermit Kingdom.

“Millions of North Koreans are … suffering under the dictatorship and not knowing of the reality of the outside world,” she says. “They are almost the forgotten people.”

ESPN Lauds Jenner over a True Hero - How Sick is That?

Another very sad commentary on our times when a selfish aberration to mankind is chosen as a courage award winner over an heroic, selfless, dying athlete. While Lauren Hill gave everything she had in the hope that it might help others in the future, Jenner was entirely self-absorbed, self-serving, and another blow to a dying society.

The Internet sears with outrage over ESPN’s bestowal of the Arthur Ashe Courage Award on the Athlete Formerly Known as Bruce Jenner rather than giving it to Lauren Hill, the utterly courageous 19-year-old woman who battled inoperable brain cancer while playing basketball for Mount St. Joseph’s.

Before she died in April, Hill had achieved a dream of her own, scoring the first and last basket when Mount St. Joseph’s defeated Hiram College 66-55 on November 2014. The courageous young woman, knowing she wouldn’t survive, decided to use her notoriety to raise money for cancer research; by last November, she had raised $1 million for DIPC Cancer Research.

Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still, whose 4-year-old daughter was battling cancer, tweeted:

Congrats Lauren Hill on raising 1 million dollars for DIPG Cancer research! Using your battle to raise awareness n money is an inspiration!

According to ESPN, Hill’s courage was superseded by Jenner’s decision to become a woman. ESPN announced on June 1 that it was honoring Jenner with the Ashe Award, and only belatedly announced on July 14 that it would offer a small tribute to Hill at the ESPY Awards. A producer for the program admitted that she and her staff, rather than any wider voting process, selected the former Olympian for the honor. On Wednesday, the resultant fury was exhibited on Twitter:

The Los Angeles Times reported that a possible reason for the honoring of Jenner derived from a deal between ABC and Jenner. ABC televised the ESPYs and Jenner had granted an exclusive interview to ABC’s Diane Sawyer in April regarding the gender transition Jenner was undergoing. The interview grabbed huge ratings.

Is that how we pick our heroes now? By the ratings they may generate on TV? God help us. It's almost criminal that his/her name even be mentioned in the same breath as Lauren Hill's.

Open Season on Christian University Students

Public colleges and universities are taking the gloves off when it comes to Christian students on their campuses. Gone are the days of surreptitious slights against Christians; now it is open season on faith. Blatant, in-your-face, anti-Christian discrimination is the new norm.

Christians students now face their applications being rejected because they let it slip out that they are a person of faith, receiving failing grades for daring to allow their religious beliefs to outweigh the omniscience of the educational elites, or being outright expelled for having the audacity to live in accordance with their faith.

The rise of anti-Christian discrimination on public university campuses is astounding in its breadth and shocking in its shamelessness.

The American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ) is currently representing two students who were denied admission to the Radiation Therapy Program at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC): Brandon Jenkins and Dustin Buxton. These students, who were acting out their Christian faith by seeking to serve the hurting and the sick, were brazenly refused admission because of their professed belief in God.

One student, Brandon, was denied admission because when asked in an admissions interview what was the most important thing in his life, he replied simply, "My God." In rejecting his application, Radiation Therapy Program Director Dr. Dougherty informed Brandon, "I understand that religion is a major part of your life ... however, this field is not the place for religion. ... If you interview in the future, you may want to leave your thoughts and beliefs out of the interview process." The college unapologetically doubled down on this sentiment, stating that Dr. Dougherty's statement "is not bad advice," and that students, when interviewing for secular positions, would be better advised to "have a concrete reason for wanting to undertake the training at hand than to say only that God directed one to do it." (For more on Brandon's case, click here). This situation is almost unbelievable, but unfortunately Brandon isn't alone.

Dustin was similarly denied admission to CCBC's Radiation Therapy Program because when asked about the guiding principle in his life during his interview process, he answered simply, "My faith." Dr. Dougherty scored the Christian student's interview low because "He [Dustin] also brought up religion a great deal during the interview." When we notified the college of its discriminatory conduct, rather than apologizing for their clearly discriminatory decision, CCBC instead retaliated by placing an 85-year hold on Dustin's account, forbidding him from registering for any classes. We're in federal court in both of these cases. This college's anti-Christian discrimination is not only unconscionable, it's unconstitutional. However, this college is far from alone in its attack on Christian students.

Sadly, we are seeing a rise of instances across the country in which students at public universities and colleges are being unjustly discriminated against because of their professed Christian faith. Audrey Jarvis, a student at Sonoma State University in California, was asked by a university administrator to remove her cross necklace during orientation because it could potentially offend others. In Florida, at Polk State College, a professor gave a student zeros on several assignments because the student refused to agree with the professor's anti-Christian bias. The course syllabus even stated, "[t]he point of this is not to 'bash' any religion, we should NEVER favor one over another, they all come from the same source, HUMAN IMAGINATION ... ."

So, that was my imagination that hung on the cross 2000 years ago. All the miracles that have happened in and around my life, apparently, didn't happen, or were a series of astounding coincidences. Pretty weird, when you pray for someone to be healed of a fatal disease and they are healed instantly, and it's just a coincidence. Maybe my imagination healed her. 

Pity the day when these 'brilliant' men have to stand before my imagination. May my imagination have mercy on their souls.

At Florida Atlantic University, a student was reportedly ordered to write the name of "Jesus" on a piece of paper and stomp on it. A student at Eastern Michigan University was expelled for expressing her faith in a counseling program.

Likewise, a student at the University of Wisconsin was informed by her professor that "[r]eligious contemplations and the bible [sic] belong to a different realm and not academic sources. So your argumentation along Christian lines ... are [sic] inappropriate for this presentation. I will not allow you to present unless you change this. You will also fail your presentation if your [sic] discuss religion in connection with it."

Additionally, Christian organizations are being removed from public university campuses. California State universities have effectively evicted Christian organizations from university campuses by refusing to recognize Christian organizations in college directories and university websites, increasing their room rental fees, and forbidding them from representing themselves at campus-wide open houses, until the Christian organizations accept California State University's "all-comers" policy. That is, all-comers except Christians.

In light of the prevalent rise of hostility towards religion by public universities and colleges, and the unapologetic discrimination against those professing Christian beliefs, we at the ACLJ are addressing the problem, and we are working towards gaining greater protections for religious liberties. The ACLJ has launched a new public advocacy campaign, joined by tens of thousands of Americans. Along with our representation of students like Brandon and Dustin in court, we're sending a message to state colleges and universities across America: stop anti-Christian discrimination now.

These lawsuits demonstrate to public universities and colleges that discrimination against students because of their profession of Christian beliefs is unacceptable—the American public will not support such blatant, unconstitutional discrimination against, and suppression of, religious freedoms. In short, we won't tolerate it.

The ACLJ's efforts are appreciated, but they will not significantly reverse the anti-Christian discrimination in secular universities. It's a sign of the times. It will get worse before it gets better. It won't get better 'til Jesus comes. The situation is not helped by the very unChrist-like behavior of a lot of American Christians - read, Republicans.

5th Holistic Doctor (age 33) Died in Florida Making 5 Dead and 5 More Missing

I read about Dr. Baron Holt DC not long after he died less than a month ago near me here on the East Coast of Florida. Father’s day June 21st. Dr. Holt was coincidentally found the very same day  that Dr. Bruce Hedendal (also a DC found here on the E Coast of Florida)  was found  slumped over in his car. Like Holt, Dr. Hedendal was also extremely fit. Dr Hedendal been doing an athletic event earlier in the day before he died.

These two chiropractors who tragically died the same day in the same state, come  2 days after the death of Dr. Bradstreet MD who was found in a river in North Carolina with a gunshot wound to his chest. Previously Dr. Bradstreet  had lived and practiced here on the East Coast of Florida as well.   I hesitated covering Dr. Holt’s story as I had no information and didn’t feel comfortable as there were no recent articles I could reference.

Now there is.

From this article which refers to Dr. Holt as the faithful healer:

His unexpected death last month while on a trip to Jacksonville, Fla. has been a blow to his family and the community he’d created through his work. Though he had been struggling with recent health issues, none were thought to be life threatening by loved ones. His family is awaiting the results from an autopsy report.

I had searched before for any information but saw no statement from the family. Now that I see this article states his family felt he had no health challenge that was life threatening and was a mere 33 years old.

The article goes on to say

Holt’s practice, Revolution Chiropractic, had just celebrated its fifth anniversary this year. Highly fit at 33, he was deeply connected to his Christian faith, and his career as a Triangle practitioner was booming.

Holt took a holistic approach to treatment; he and his staff taught classes on nutrition, exercise, even aromatherapy.

In 2012, he traveled to London to work with the U.S. Olympic team, and could count Ultimate Fighting Championship athletes among the 500 patients his practice saw each week, said Brigitte Spurgeon, friend and Revolution Chiropractic clinical director.

When I read that he was “highly fit” well accomplished, even traveling to London to work with the Olympic team and already emerging as a prominent natural chiropractor, I feel that it’s my duty to report on his sad  untimely death whatever the cause.

Drs. Bradstreet, Hedendal, and Sievers

Again, our hearts go out to his family, friends and loved ones and we hope they get to the bottom of this whatever the cause may be.  Just to give you a timeline I’m going to write it out as follows:

#1 June 19th– Dr Bradstreet, formerly of Florida, now practicing in Georgia was found with a gunshot wound to his chest in a river.  The small town locals ruled the death almost immediately as a suicide but many have their doubts.

This same day in Mexico- June 19th (the only case outside the US) 3 doctors were traveling to the State Capital to deliver some papers (we don’t know what they contained)  They were reported missing that day. Authorities said they found the bodies, but the family says those bodies look nothing like their family members. A sad but riveting article was written about those details here.

#2 June 21st– We have two chiropractors both in Florida, both on the East Coast both presumably  healthy and both described as very fit both found dead.  We still have no cause of death in the articles we can find on either one. A few people have contacted me about Dr. Hedendal, but admit that they were surprised by his death and still find it shocking he died. I’ve been given a few causes of death but am not certain and even the friends telling me weren’t confident this was the case. Interestingly Dr. Holt lived in North Carolina which is the state Dr. Bradstreet’s body (see #1 story above)  was found  2 days prior. Though Dr. Bradstreet now lived in Georgia and before that neighboring state Florida.

#3 June 26th, Dr. Patrick Fitzpatrick MD goes missing. He was traveling from North Dakota to neighboring Montana (which he did often as his son lived in Montana) and his truck and trailer were found on the side of the road. Searches have expanded, but authorities say it’s like he vanished without a trace. He’s 6′ tall, described as Irish with a goatee and details can be found on the links.

#4 June 29th– The beloved holistic  Theresa Sievers MD was found murdered  in her home.  Her co worker says she was known as the “Mother Teresa of South Florida. Her husband and children were in Connecticut at a family reunion. The authorities have been investigating for two weeks “around the clock”  and now say that it was targeted, not random, not a home invasion ,and when the facts come out “books and movies will be written about it” it’s that huge of a story.

On this very same day, June 29th,  Jeffrey Whiteside MD a pulmonologist went missing , vanishing when he simply “walked away” .  Dr Whiteside, known for his successful treatment of lung cancer, disappeared in Door County Wisconsin while vacationing with family. They say he was  on foot and had no vehicle and numerous reports call it “mysterious” saying he too vanished without a trace. They’ve been searching now 2 weeks and even colleagues have joined in (along with many bloodhounds, drones search parties and helicopters) but not a shred of evidence in 2 weeks.

#5 July 10th– Lisa Riley DO (Doctor of Osteopathic medicine) is found in her home with a gunshot wound to her head. Her husband called it in 911 and has a prior record, and actually was charged with attempted murder on his ex Ms. King, before charges were dropped. Evidence showed that there was  gun residue was found on Ms. King’s  hand and not Mr Riley’s and his story collaborated but hers allegedly didn’t and kept changing. At least that’s what evidence showed at the time.  (click link in this paragraph for their story with details)

We hope all 5 missing doctors are found alive and well. Our hearts go out to the other 5 doctors who were found dead and we hope they get to the bottom of each one and find the killer or killers soon of those who were indeed murdered.

Manifesting the Character of God - A Test of Faith

Mat 5:39 But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

Not striking back when hurt or insulted is an opportunity to display the character of Jesus Christ. In the life of a Christian, such opportunities will inevitably arise and it is up to us to choose whether to react in a manner worthy of the Sermon on the Mount, or not.

We glorify God by displaying or manifesting His character. We cannot do so in difficult situations if Jesus is not present in us. We cannot manifest Jesus without His very presence.

Failure to manifest Jesus during an opportunity is not necessarily an indication that Jesus is not present in you, although it could be. It may be an indication of some poor teaching, or poor modeling by those whom we respect. It may be an indication of something wrong in our relationship with the Lord, something that we have not yielded to His lordship.

One of the most important things that we must yield to His lordship is our idea of what a Christian really is. Jesus will mold us into a person capable of displaying His character in every circumstance, if we let Him. But too often we have our own idea of how a Christian should behave, and it may not resemble Jesus at all. When that is the case, we will miss opportunities to manifest Jesus Christ. The more opportunities we miss, the fewer opportunities we get. Are you getting those chances to display the character of God? If not, you must ask yourself why, and the answer is often that we won't manifest Christ anyway, so He won't create the opportunities for us.

One of the biggest reasons we have for failing to manifest Christ is that we have become far too politicized. Jesus was never political. He took absolutely no interest in the difficult political circumstances of His day, and for 1st century Jews, it was a far more egregious political landscape than anything any western Christian has endured for more than half a century.

Jesus interests were entirely spiritual, and until our interests turn away from the political and back to the spiritual, we will have few opportunities to reveal Jesus in us to a lost world. We will be failing the Great Commission.

Politicalism in western Christians is a distraction at best and an indication that we are far off-track at worst. Christian political activism has to do with creating a kind of Heaven, or Christian Utopia in our country. That will only happen during the Millenial Reign, and attempts to make it happen on Earth will not only fail but greatly impair the work of God - ie the salvation of souls.

Our political attitudes display a character which is anything but godly, and cause resentment by those whom we should be leading to Christ. But instead of manifesting Jesus and drawing lost souls to Him, we are turning them into our enemies. We are doing the very opposite thing that we should be doing.

I pray western Christians will repent of our worldly fascination with politics and turn back to spiritual fascination. Only then will the opportunities to display Jesus arise again. And when they arise, we must yield completely to Christ and allow Him to work through us. Then we will see miracles, and we will see many come to the Lord, including some we would never expect.
